Women and Religion

Unitarian Universalist Women & Religion is dedicated to freeing ourselves, others, and the Earth from traditional, historical, and contemporary oppressive and patriarchal systems. We continue to work togehter to implement the 1977 UUA Women and Religion Resolution.

Women & Religion of the NED has fostered activities and programs within the District directed at raising consciousness of women’s issues and concerns. It has provided occasional workshops at District Meetings. Its primary focus has been on sponsoring Fall and Spring weekend conferences with a wide variety of programming for women, including mother/daughter Maiden Retreats and Cronings.

For over 20 years, women from the Northeast District of the Unitarian Universalist Association (and beyond) have gathered together to learn, rest, play, grow, sing, dance and celebrate life's passages.
