The Welcoming Congregation Program The Welcoming Congregation Program is a series of workshops designed to assist congregations to become more inclusive towards bisexual, gay, lesbian, and/or transgender people. The workshops are facilitated by those who have experienced the curriculum and/or have had the training. While we may consider our congregations to be "welcoming," this program helps congregations to intentionally and systematically consider gender and sexual diversity. Official designation as a Welcoming Congregation recognizes a congregation as a safe space for bisexual, gay, lesbian, and transgender personsone that takes positions on and action against oppression in our communities.
