The Ministerial Settlement Representative is a member of one of the NED congregations, and is chosen by the UUA Department of Ministry in consultation with the NED Board to work with congregations during a ministerial transition (see Ministerial Transition). The UUA Department of Ministry pays the expenses of the MSR. Each year, the MSR receives updated training at the UUA in Boston, Massachusetts.
