Board of Directors 2007-2008

The District Board of Directors comprises twelve members, all members in good standing from member congregations of the Northeast District. There are four officers, six committee chairs, and two directors-at-large.

The District Executive, the Program Consultant, the Small Church Specialist, the UUA Trustee from the NED, and a representative from the Women and Religion Committee serve as ex officio members of the Board.

The District Board meets at least three times a year and is responsible for the affairs of the NED. It is charged with carrying out the program of the NED, making policy decisions regarding NED committees, furthering District development and communication, and making contact with NED congregations for financial support of the District and the Association.

Nominating Committee, 2007-2008

The Nominating Committee nominates the Officers and Committee Chairs who comprise the District Board: three persons nominated from the floor by duly certified delegates at the NED Annual Meeting and two persons selected by the NED Board at a meeting subsequent to the Annual Meeting. Members are chosen to effect geographical representation. The President of the Board designates the Chair.
